Students are excited about Red Ribbon Week!
Red Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children. Through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives. With the ultimate goal being the creation of drug free America.
One of the counselors, Denise Timmons, has been coordinating the activities for this week. She has bought the students stickers, pencils, and bracelets to help them learn to be drug free. On Wednesday, we started dressing up in Red for “Get red-dy for drug free week.” Thursday we could wear sunglasses to school to “Shade out drugs.” This week we have also been watching videos about learning to be drug free.
