Maddox Middle School will host registration for all students on Thursday, August 16th.
Students entering 7th and 8th grades should come to the school between the hours of 9-11 am.
The homeroom lists will be posted on the doors to the school and students should report to their homeroom teacher to get registration materials. Students will also be able to purchase lockers ($10 single/$15 family), gym uniforms($8 for shirt/$8 for shorts) and planners ($6 per student) at this time. Each student will recieve a packet of registration forms that morning and they will be instructed to complete each form and return the entire packet to the homeroom teacher on the first day of school. Parents are certainly welcome to accompany 7th and 8th grade students, but parent attendance is not required.
Students entering the 6th grade should plan to a special registration on the same day at 6pm in the school auditorium.
Students and parents will hear a message from our administrators, be introduced to the 6th grade teachers, enrichment teachers and counselors, and visit the homeroom classes to get the registration packets and purchase lockers, planners and gym uniforms.
We are excited to announce that we now offer the ability to pay for all school fees through an online, secure transaction using a credit card. Simply click on the tab on the left side of the school website labled ‘epayments.’ This payment portal will ask for basic student identifying information such as name, address, etc. (In the field labled Student Identification Number please type the grade level of the student in the event that we have 2 students with identical names.)
Parents will have the opportunity to pre-pay for the locker fee, the planner fee, the gym uniform, and enrichment fees. Remember that each nine weeks students will take an enrichment class such as art, computer, family and consumer science, band, etc. These classes have fees that help to fund the supplies needed for the enrichment class You may also pre-pay enrichment fees on this pay portal.
Transactions that are made before the registration date will be reported to the homeroom teacher so that students can be issued the locker, gym clothes and planners at the registration event.
Whether you plan to use the online payment option, or send cash or checks to the registration events, we hope this information will help you better plan for the beginning of school.
School Supply Lists by grade level will be posted here by next week.
